Because of humidity, some stages will not be dry even without snow or rain, at least till noon.
Actually those conditions could be very nasty, so don't give up on the chalanging Monte.

Were those 'amateur photos' taken out a car window with a phone? To be honest the difference between amateurs and pros is really not as clear as those images suggest - I've seen plenty of photos from good amateurs better than many pros, and plenty of boring unimaginative photos from pros too.
What the pros tend to be better at is consistency, but because they're relying on it to earn a living they often take less artistic risks (for example using faster shutter speeds to make sure the image is sharp, but losing the sense of movement and speed because of that) and don't try new things.

The amateur replies - for example the latter picture was done so that my friend stoppes the car after that place on the first bit wider place, I ran back downhill, took the picture with my phone and ran back to the car. Right after the stage was finished I tweet out the picture without any postproduction to give initial feelings how it looked on the stage right at that time.

Teemu's photos give more information on the road surface and conditions, whereas the World pictures are more "artistic".

I don't want to despise any work you do. I really open for myself how same places can look completely different. And how pro's can do more likable picture, I know they have way better camera, a lot more photographing experience, they out in stages to do first of all - good pictures. It's uncomparable of course. But in the end same places looks different. I'm not pushing you, or any other rally enthusiast who making stage photos and posting it on twitter, you do very good job, I'm just wondering to pro photographers who make superb pictures from all of that.

It doesn't surprise me at all tbh. The fact that he has been away from the sport for years still stands in my opinion, he probably still lacks some rythem to be on the pace straight away. Combine this with the fact he has come straight out of Dakar and most importantly, he has only driven the Hyundai for what, 1,5 days? On stages with snow/ice/wet/gravel I expect Loeb to do well here.
But the dry/easy tarmac (lack of) pace is nevertheless surprising. Meeke, Lappi and Ogier also drive new car and have 1 or 2 days of testing on dry tarmac, yet they are 1-2-3 on the SD.
Loeb won last tarmac rally, so "being away from the sport for years" doesn't fit much. Little testing is right and he does quite well compared with his teammates with more experience in same car, but all 3 are too slow.
Btw. check out the twitter pic of Loeb's face from Neuville/Hyundai from discussions in service park during SD.

AUTOSPORT:
World Rally champions Sebastien Ogier and Sebastien Loeb predict that late snowfall will make Thursday night's opening two stages of the Monte Carlo Rally extremely challenging.
WRC crews face a pair of 12-mile tests in the mountains to the east of the event's host town of Gap, but the opening mileage of the 2019 season has been complicated by snow falling after Wednesday's recce.
Follow the Monte Carlo Rally with Autosport Live from 6.30pm UK time tonight
After a shakedown stage run in dry, sunny conditions, snow and ice are expected on the after-dark Le Breole-Selonnet opener.
"The snow has certainly made things interesting," said Ogier. "There is a lot of change in the conditions, with a lot of snow and ice in places - we can expect things happening tonight.
"Tonight's not a time to win the rally, but certainly you could lose it."
Loeb said the snowfall had changed his approach to his opening evening with the Hyundai team.
"It's difficult to know much about tonight, but the rally will be very different to shakedown," said Loeb.
"The conditions will be difficult and many things can happen tonight.
"I'll try to stay on the road and not make mistakes or go too hard.
"I hope the feeling comes and I can fight at the front in the dry tomorrow."
To complicate matters further, much of the opening evening's action is new.
"I come from this area, but many of these stages are new for me - I have never been in these at all," Ogier said.
"But I like this feeling. It's the same for everybody: we make our notes and then we go for it."
British WRC 2 Pro driver Gus Greensmith added that the change in conditions took everybody by surprise.
"We went through the stages on the recce and then a couple of hours later, after the snow had arrived," he said.
"We got some pictures - it looked like a totally different road. That's Monte Carlo for you."

If it's about more people being interested about the new season and the server capacity being not enough, they should get more. Of course it works after a race or two when most people don't bother to try anymore. If it's about bad coding every year, something should be done for it too. The fact that it's in MC should have no effect in the way the WRC organisation and promoter works.
