It is 02.12., 7 weeks to Rally Monte Carlo, still no news neither from Hyundai nor M-Sport. Then, in the end of 2025 season Hyundai again would look back for answers how would they manage to lose to Toyota - but it all starts with small details - timely made and clear decisions, safe and well prepared driver lineup etc. We all remember how delayed came H decision to start to develop the HY car that led to wasted season both for Tanak and Neuville. I can understand M-Sport, never ending Cinderella story, but what is the Hyundai issue to be more serious about managing their things?

On some podcast there was some clues revealed, that there will be 3rd fixed driver at Hyundai (Fourmaux most likely, even he blamed everything on the car - Puma on the last few events), and that there is room for 3 simultaneously programmes withing the brand (so WEC, IMSA and WRC). Even updating that Rally2 car can give us some hope on stying in the series, at least for some time. M-Sport will indeed benefit now with hybrid unit taken out, maybe selling out the car or give out for the rent. And they are planning Puma Rally2 model if FIA will made it right. But they are really ones to blame, since all they do is being so undecided all the time and take decisions so late.

Do you think that sitting on very decisive info just to have fun or whatever is a PR and creditability mastermind? I would speculate that some level negotiations are still going on and are waiting for the final approval from Korea. Possibly there were 2 scenarios prepared - one, if WMC would be won and other - if lost. I am just speculating.

at this point im already assuming Fourmaux is in Hyundai and Msport is going with Sesks and Munster
i also read somewhere cyril talking really well about lappi. if they even run a 4th car in some events next year, i can see lappi being in one or two events tbh. probably 9 full timers.... not good yet imo but better than 6

I don't like it either. Who knows how many years the rumors have been around about Hyundai leaving—yet there's still no confirmation, and they keep demanding that the rules go their way.
