I see Molly Taylor gets shown on today's highlights package, but nothing of the R5/Rally2 hero Lukyanuk.

Of course he can do more by improving the marketability of the series. Even the somewhat moribund Dakar attracted a new manufacturer in Audi with a sustainability ploy. The WRC should be exploiting their new "hybrid" rules, the "cleanliness" of electric anti-lag, their new synthetic fuel, etc, but instead they're going "don't expect any new manufacturers anytime soon", as if holding up their hands and relieving themselves of responsibility should the series continue declining.

The issue is most of the coverage is behind a paywall, with very little 'free to air' coverage. What manufacturers are going to sign up with that? It needs a change in policy, but that isn't what WRC Promoter tends to do.

I was afraid to mention this because I know many defend the price of WRC+, but I totally agree. The lack of free content (even the removal of rally radio, or an audio stream of WRC+!) alienates a *lot* of users. And 100 euro a year for "unlimited content" might seem a dandy price for Europeans or Americans but it's a steep ask for the rest of the world. Nice World Rally Championship you got there when Kenyans or Argentines are gonna have a hard time justifying that price.

The entire highlights program has become a shadow of its former self, they don't even bother taking out the parts of commentary from all live and to add insult to injury, I need to hear Jon Desborough for nearly 30 minutes, with all due respect to him. Tbh it's quite a joke, I wish they would at least try to make it better.
