The WRC should be exploiting their new "hybrid" rules, the "cleanliness" of electric anti-lag, their new synthetic fuel, etc, but instead they're going "don't expect any new manufacturers anytime soon", as if holding up their hands and relieving themselves of responsibility should the series continue declining.
The issue is most of the coverage is behind a paywall, with very little 'free to air' coverage. What manufacturers are going to sign up with that? It needs a change in policy, but that isn't what WRC Promoter tends to do.
