I've been more than happy to prop up the money pot (including Thatcher's rebate) personally all my tax paying life, as a German resident for the last 21 years and more recently as a German national lol
So good riddance, yes, I'm glad we can agree on something for a change
Blaming Hamilton's mishaps solely on "the Germans" is a tad jingoistic in my view, but hardly something I wouldn't expect from certain "true Brits" here. Other true Brits like Jackie Stewart or your Nige weren't so quick to defend his tactics in this race, for example.
Anyway, before I go too far off topic... As for donkey of the race, somewhat predictably I'd say Hamilton: either you do it properly (i.e. back up so much that the -somewhat dirty and unsportsmanlike but perfectly legal and legitimate- tactics work, and take the championship) or you race off into the distance and lap the German buggers to prove your point, with a couple of donuts before the finish line for good measure.Unfortunately, the way it ended was neither here nor there.

Yes, I suppose it could be that simple. Evans is a bit the reverse, he didn’t seem to gel with the hybrid car, but looks back to his pre-hybrid level now its gone. Only Kalle knows if he is motivated...
