I´ve looked at Emils FB which btw was locked a while ago (maybe my fault). However there´s a new funding to get him to start of Rally Sweden which they say is a must making this first step. They earlier had an other funding for the whole season of 2016.
On the other hand they tell the world Emil got four offers from worksteam or near worksteam after his ERC3-victory. They claim he still is hot stuff on the market.
(I´m asking myself then - why isn´t he in the middle of the market already???)

Malcolm - are you reading this?

    Hello everyone!

I recently moved to Sweden from Barcelona. I've been looking forward to go to this rally for a long time but a lot of questions arise.

Is the rally-pass mandatory? I mean, do you have to pay to see it out in the open roads?

Isn't it allowed to go into the road the night before and camp in there like we do where I come from? I know it's cold and all that but we are planning to go fully prepared.

We have a little camper-car and we've done it several times in spain but I do not know how it works here... :S

And finally, anyone going from gothenburg by road on the friday afternoon in a similar situation as mine and wants to join forces?

    Thanks in advance!

    Jaume.

If you plan on entering at the spectator areas you will have to use a rally pass or pay for that stage only. If there is lot's of snow the other (non spec area) access roads
to the stages might not be ploughed so it might be hard to get into the stage.
But sure you can use your camper van if you like. There is usually a couple of them at the spectator areas. Roads are normally closed from early in the morning the day
the stage is run so it might be possible to go into the stage on the evening before (Friday in your case). I don't have any personal experience of camper vans or access the day
before so I can't give you anymore specific info in case it's incorrect or so.

Last year when we drove through Värmullsåsen on saturday to recce it after coming back from Fredriksberg or something they were about to close the road and tried to stop us. I think i have seen 16:00 the day before but they can't watch all access roads all night so should be possible anyway.

Last year we also wanted to drive Torsby around 16 O'Clock the day before and the road was already blocked. It's clear that the organizers don't want any trouble caused by spectators being stuck the night before the stages. I don't know if there are passes for single stages and how much they are? That may be an option if you are not doing a lot of stages. Also I don't think it's possible to do a lot of stages with a camper van. Keep in mind that distances between stages are always much bigger and take more time than they look on the map...

What is the status of the crowdfunding for Emil Bergkvists Swedish Rally participation?

There are more than enough very nice access roads to the stages and spectator parkings, from where you can walk into the stage wherever you want.
But it makes no sense to drive with a camper into the stages and may get stuck or find no parking place either.

Previous years they have had single stage tickets (for like 200kr) but it seems that there aren't such tickets anymore and
thus you have to buy a full day ticket for 300SEK which can be bought when you enter the stage.
