Sounds like donkey is on the right track.
Looks to be a measure of force, based on variances of accelerations. So, I'll guess it's the measure of gravitational pull between planets?

You guys are on the right track, but it has to do specifically with the mass of the earth!!

I see an e for equator, a p for pole, a w for rotation, an M for massive mass of the Earth... the faster you spin the thicker you get

A measure of the centrifugal force caused by the earth's rotation?

those aren't a for acceleration, think r for radius... a measure of Billy's missus' bulge around the belly when she spins ?

it's actually an approximation for the flattening factor due to self gravity of a rotating fluid spheroid of constant density...
the faster you spin the thicker you get... over to schmonkey
