Abbring's video of day 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYvysRXwaZQ&sns=fb
Especially interesting, he said: 'On the internet there was talk of a hard landing after a jump, but that is absolutely not true. It seems like we've had the same problem like in Greece.'

28 car entry.....how do these events even run?
I didnt read MN this week but I saw the cover with Meeke saying the rally should bid for WRC status. Really? Because it doesn't seem to be attractive to competitors, and imagine spectating when only 19 cars are left many of which are R2 cars.

I think it's a problem for British & Irish rallying; the IRC in Scotland got poor entries, and the 2012 CoI was similar. There are very few S2000/ R5 cars in these Isles....
And it's expensive for overseas entries to get here. I'm not sure what the answer is.
Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

There were 32 ERC entries and 84 national entries. All competitors did the same route so that spectators could watch them all. They were only counted into different classification (because the national event is not held under FIA rules). 19 ERC competitors and 47 national ones finished.
Now compare with Mexico for example. That's hugely popular event despite having only 25-30 cars every year.Stupid is as stupid does. Forrest Gump

Good info here but otherwise very poor coverage of the national rally: http://www.rallynews.net/report_index.asp?rID=149

He is what we call "Svorsk" and the flag is called Sildesalaten, from when Norway was under Sweden in a union, from 1814 to 1905.
