I doubt he is looking, and TBH with the McLaren being as strong as it was this year I'm not sure any team is looking to sign him right now. Let's face it, the car was strong enough that Lando got the WDC and I'd say at least 4-5 drivers on the grid would likely beat him in equal cars. It was a year of two good drivers making the best of a great car, not a driver taking the car to potential that nobody else could do.

As for the premise of the reason the question was asked, I prefer when teams let their drivers race myself. The WCC was wrapped up already anyway, and I've never considered it a given that any team would favor one driver at the season 1/2 way point. Some have done it, some have not. The only time I think team orders are warranted is when it it purely strategic (within one race) or at the point their leading points driver is in the battle for the WDC and the other driver is incapable of making up the points spread. And even then I'd prefer the team not do it, but at least I understand the reasoning.
