Hyundai Motorsport WRC Sporting Director Andrew Wheatley:
“Today was another positive day for us as we take another step forward in our development process. We have started to see some excellent progress from Adrien to make up 0.6 seconds to the rally leader across the day, which marks huge progress for us with the evo car. Ott has demonstrated a very professional drive as he’s managed the performance of the old specification car over some very challenging stages, and we expect him to return tomorrow with the performance we know he’s capable of."

As much as we don't like Hyundai's team running and their terrible condition in WRC, we at least need to be happy they are still here, at least for as long as someone new comes. Someone who can challenge Toyota properly. Even they need some kind of challenge which I think Hyundai can't provide anymore.

Latvala won the final round in Fafe and he is European historic rally champion. The first championship he has ever won, congrats to him.
