I also think Sardegna would have very few regular ERC entries. Maybe not on Ceredigion level, but not far...

Rally di Roma Capitale to me is a bit of a boring rally, very "generic asphalt rally" on generic roads. Maybe Rally1 can make a difference in 2026 and make it look more exciting, but Rally2-like cars from 2027, I don't know.

There were a couple of nice rallies in North East Italy like San Martino di Castrozza or Alpi Orientali (or Friuli), that used mountain roads generally not as tight as Monte. They had big entry lists, with foreign drivers from neighbouring countries, also thanks to Mitropa Cup. But since some years, they're not even part of the Italian championship anymore, so...

I'm also not a fan of Rally di Roma Capitale. Italy has so many much more beautiful roads, such us in Rally 1000 Miglia or Piancavallo, which both used to be in ERC, but are just local rallies now...

Ypsilon and new C3 are related platform-wise, but not the exact same. Ypsilon is CMP (like 208, Corsa, Mokka), C3 is SCP (like Frontera, Grande Panda).
Also the homologation end of the C3 R5 is nearing, and basically it has reached its potential. New C3 is built like a truck, so not really good basis for rallying. Also, Citroen had nothing in rallying anymore apart from the C3 R5, so I believe that this is also a "profile-cleaning" of some sort.

Shame that they made it look so much like a Citroen, especially at the front. I assumed it was a straight rebadge.

Cool to have the Lancia brand back in top level rallying though, would be cool if someone can net some Martini sponsorship to go with it!

I think the new Lancia body is quite sharp and modern compared to the rounded, crossover-look of the C3.

For Dirt Rally 2.0 modders have put the Lancia livery etc on the C3 and it doesn't really work. (I've asked for it on the Polo R5 as that would look closer !).

Lancia needs all the help it can get let alone retro liveries! Lets hope the rally car creates a halo effect and helps lift the brand

And to my mind at least thats one of the biggest problems for the "new " Lancia. The Delta was hardly beautiful either however the brand was based on Italian flair and design which was often quirky but distinctive, a re-styled Peugeot does quite rise to those levels. All they can hope is that they are trying to reach buyers who dont remember the old cars reliability issues and certainly in the UK, problems with rust!

Great to see another car in Rally 2 though and will be looking forward to how it matches up to the Yaris
