Privateer WDC has happened four times in the history of WRC and Ogier's such titles were only-semi-so with M-Sport, just like Loeb's Kronos was too. Only real privateer WDC was Vatanen - in 1981.

I know it’s the commentators job to promote this rally but personally I’d rather see Argentina instead with all due respect to the organisers of Paraguay. That and I wish we'd get Michelin back…
