The Race has something similar, but that is much cheaper for a far more appealing product that attracts a far bigger audience. For 8 pounds a month this won't be there for long I'd reckon.

I assume that all the Dirtfish online content has been created to promote and advertise the rally school. The ads for this on the podcasts have been getting ever longer in recent months.
Maybe this hasn't worked and their online business (and paying David Evans, Colin Clark, Luke Barry etc) is actually costing more than the new (rally school) customers it brings in. So now they've had to charge for it ?

Surley all that effort for extra customers for a very niche service in a country where it is extra niche is not really the idea behind it.
Online ads will bring in revenue and if something like this gets popular enough it will be profitable, just look at "The Race".
The members thing was probably a plan from the start, but you need to build a potential customer base first.

Maybe when the price would be cheaper, then the first feedback would be more positive, but currently the value for money doesn't seem to be worth it. Rallytv subscription is 12,99€ per month and with that you get a large team with planes and helicopters, who are providing live coverage from all the stages and service park.
I’ve enjoyed their content, but at the end of the day, they’re still a bunch of journalists—taking interviews at the events and sharing their opinions on various topics. This shouldn't be that expensive.

Well, i am ok to pay for stuff that I am interested in, but Dirtfish has been one sided, very over-extended news source with significant delay. In comparison Autosport.com comes with more complete package of motorsport with less price. Good idea how to finance rallying news channel, but it is hard to see how this would work at least mid term.

The feedback from the commentators is similar as here. Ironically they have closed the comment section on the driver ratings article.

you could hear how Colin trying to create drama from simple air filter change before Power stage from 11:50 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_L-u2hvcXlU
also this video shows what Solberg had to deal with at this stop before checking in for a 'cool down' time control: tyre change, mud scrapping, few interviews, few signatures for fans, air filter change with few minutes to spare, etc.... and Colin Clark

You must be about as old as me as that's the way I thought until I looked back on the first historic rally I worked on! It was the historic rally tagged on to the 1988 Manx International and the...
