Tänak jsut sucks this year on PS stages when everyone is pushing, he would have won if he would have made a Kalle like stage. Even lost to Neuville

Great PS by Neuville with bad road position, who knows what he could have achieved without that touch in the first day... but Kalle's PS was on another planet.

Nice victory by Ogier, but as we saw today, he makes mistakes way more often than in his full time days. Hence why I don't believe Ogier would have gotten his 9th title against Kalle or Neuville if he was full time. But still, congrats to the old man.

Evans not fast, even for opening the road. But the end result is good enough... he has to at least keep being consistent and hope the chasers will have a DNF sooner or later.

    He could, he would...
Very mature driving. Nothing to gain, but everything to lose. Unless he would knew Ogi was going to hit the tree of course.

To state the obvious, Hyundai & Neuville can kiss that no. 1 byebye, only question remains is if Rovanperä or Evans will take it, as we still have 8 rounds to go…Congrats to Ogier, as impressive as he was when he won this event first time in the Polo back in 2013.

I agree. If he would have pushed and crashed, then everyone would have been complaining how he can't drive maturely.

I would consider Tänak also as a strong contender. I think the title fight will be between Tänak and Rovanperä.

just 2 seconds was needed to beat Kalle in sunday standings and Thierry on PS stage.

i calculated before portugal and by then he was one of the worst Sunday and PS stage scorers so far out of the big boys

Ogier has done 4 rallies this year and has won 3 with one 2nd place.
I believe that ogier would have had at least 10 or 11 titles, had he gone and stayed fulltime with toyota since 2019.

Anyways. Has anyone the standings after sardegna?

If you had offered me "Evans 4th after opening the road in Sardinia" before the rally, I'd have taken it.

Evans leading by 19 points (133) over Ogier (114) with Rovanperä a point behind him (113), and Ott is 4th (108), Neuville in 5th with 83 points.
