It's not about religion, it's about being gentlemanly and having respect. This is not being demonstrated as understood by many, perhaps because of cultures.
To me, at my age and the way I was brought up, being told to "grow up" or "accept it" is like hearing that the drivers could carry knives and stab the stage end reporters, or run them over like it's a Christmas market - because these are cultural shifts accepted by Europeans these days.
