What if Mikkelsen has problems or is not able to be competitive? Will then Hyundai let Neuville cruise through the rally?

Could be, but in the scenario of Neuville DNF, I'd be surprised if Ott doesn't at least give it a push on Sunday to try and get the necessary points for the drivers title. And if he's 1st or 2nd at the end of Saturday, I think he'd have very good chances. Anyway, lots of ifs, we will see.

In this scenario (Neu DNF), I would bet 2 beers, a burger and some bitcoins(if I had) that Tanak wouldn't be allowed to score more than 24 points

The only ones who could stop him from doing so are likely Evans and Ogier. And I'm not so sure about best friend Ogier. Hyundai has no power of "not allowing" anything, unless you think they'll sabotage Tanak's car and lose the manu title on purpose

I like that they compete all over the world, but with most of the following in Europe, the finale should be in Europe as well

Or at the very least (& I’m sorry for banging for ages on this), put some night stages, especially when you consider it’s a tarmac rally… even if they had a couple for today and a couple for tomorrow, it would at least make the pill a bit less bitter to swallow.

The longest day of this Rally Japan with no mid-day service and starting with the longest stage of the weekend. Tough start.
