Tanak had a test before the rally with the 2025 car presumably, he just didn't enter the rally: https://www.rallyelanucia.com/notici...a-mediterraneo

Maybe indeed. I know that he doesn’t like to do the promotional events.
I’m not blaming Neuville or the team here. It’s just interesting that him and Mikkelsen took part of the Spanish rally not Neuville and Tänak but it could be Tänaks own choice. We don’t know these things.
And his testing comments, but this time there is new things to test.
It is what it is. I really can’t wait for Monte and hear the comments if all those jokers and updates have made the difference then, if there is any difference at all

"We know that what we will do will result in a good weight-saving gain but we have to work on the reliability. We have been testing in very hard conditions and it has been reliable so far. Now we are working on the set up and will see how it goes.”
It'll be interesting to see in which areas this has been done.

haha, not surprising
“On this side, Ott has nothing to lose and therefore he can be on the big push. Not in a way to destabilise Thierry, but simply in a way to score as many points as we can,” the French boss explained.

If Toyota takes a 1-2 in the Saturday and Sunday standings, they have 14 points more than Hyundai. So if Hyundai doesn't want it to come down to the powerstage, they have to get a car in front of at least 1 of the Toyota's.

Abiteboul is also Hyundai's motorsport chief, so he needs to prepare the team for WEC.
