 Calm down. Sometimes tactics come into tyre choices for the rest of the event. No point using up softs now when they might be more needed for multiple stages later in the event. Tonight is only a single stage and if others are choosing the same, you’d think that they can’t all just randomly get it wrong. If the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off!

	18th July 2024, 21:18 #96I couldn't confirm this info but in our local WRC broadcast one presenter said that as the main compound is soft you can have all 28 tyres soft so you don't need to choose the hard at all. 
 
 And about Tänak's choice then yes it was risky but this time it didn't pay out. I think all of them said that they didn't know what would be the better one here. I think the logic was that the soft would overheat and there would be massive gains but the tarmac was already too cold.
