From logistical point of view, coming to UK is more difficult for teams from EU. There are more difficulties, but ATA carnet is one of the biggest, I think. Lot of waste of time with bureaucracy and also additional costs. And in terms of ERC, I am sure that organisers will not pay ferry (like island events like Canarias, Azores or Cyprus did in the past), so this will be additional cost...

A number of similar size series still come to the UK for rounds (I'm not including F1/ MotoGP).
Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

Relatively speaking, it's a fairly simple box-ticking exercise. It is a lot more time consuming, expensive and annoying than it used to be, though. Still, blue passports eh.

The carnet doesn't look much when compared to the general cost/km and paperworkery of the game, although yes, it's something that wasn't there before.
PLuto, I'm not discounting your point nor that of who the competitor base is (neither are Brexit related), but you make it sound like the channel ferries are the same cost as shipping to Australia. Tolls and fuel to Cadiz or wherever the free ferries are would probably be the same for you, no?

Today ERC 2023 Championship silver medalist Martins Sesks was commenting WRC Central Europe stage live on WRC+ Rally live. Looks like he is trying to appear in WRC circle. Maybe some WRC starts in a making. Rally 1 start in WRC Latvia 2024 is pretty likely - many people in Latvia are trying to find backing to make that happen at the moment.

That leaves a 10-week gap between it and Canarias on 02/05-04/05…
