He certainly did ! I guess they're not designed to take that speed of impact.
The other drivers must be a bit shaken up after seeing that.

UPDATE: LLARENA PENALTY HANDS BONATO THE LEAD
Efrén Llarena has been dealt a 10sec time penalty by event stewards for not following the correct route during SS1, Las Palmas, on Thursday evening. The decision drops the Spaniard from first to fifth overall, and promotes Yoann Bonato into the rally lead with a 5.0sec advantage over Andrea Nucita.

If the incar I've seen is from his car and is anything to go by Csomos barely lifted so not surprised he went through. Is the engine in the Fabia designed to part company so easily as thats 3 or 4 times I've seen one minus its motor?

Did Cole's engine stay in ?
It seems its only extreme full-frontal impacts that get it loose.
Found this on his daughters FB. Seems the engine stayed in place...

Seems like a brutal rally this year.
has it been wet/damp all day?
Unbelievable that no one hasn’t binned it considering the last two years but then again the itinerary is almost the same
