Didn't expect these "big" gaps from 1st loop. But with the changeable weather, there can be a bit of a lottery because of tyre choice and easier mistakes, so still very open, even for Ogier.

From the onboard it seemed both he and Kalle hit the same pothole on the edge of the tarmac at speed. Just unfortunate, maybe should have been noted in recce. Easy enough to do, and easy to bend the wheel on inside rim causing a deflate, even if wheel looks intact from the outer face.

Two Toyota drivers with punctures today and yesterday a turbo failure in SD... maybe its destined to be a Hyundai victory #ForCraig.

very well said.Plenty of times when punctured.there is no big damage at outer place of rim,but there is damage on the inside of rim,due to camber angle of wheel, specially at tarmac with increased camber angles.
And because we cant see the inside part of rim,we tend to say ''oh how it punctured, rim has no even a scratch'' = sitty tyresLast edited by dimviii; 21st April 2023 at 11:48.

Jon Armstrong is way more likeable IMO. Will probably be in WRC 2027 when the R5s are the top class
