Could be wrong but I dont see Ferrari wanting someone in the twilight of their career or paying the wages Lewis would be expecting. I think Lewis retires or takes a hit in wages just to see his days out at Ferrari.
Twilight of his career, but still better than half the field. If Lewis took half what he gets now, and you or I would love to have just one year of that money, he would still be padding a career of good income looking toward what he'll do next.
