A solid run by Tanak. 8 sec should be plenty in hand going into the PS.

It´s probably spelled "tyres"... or tyrewear...

Neuville had now fresh tyres, Kalle likely had at least partly used tyres.

Well I think he was a bit lucky with Mikkelsen having two engine blows, other than that Mikkelsen would have been the champion. Somehow I don't consider Lindholm to be a top driver, there's something missing in both consistency and pace.

Solberg has been impressive keeping it together for the weekend, and Pajari has shown positive pace, but has a lot to learn

The power stage may have massive ramifications, long-term.
If Tanak pips Kalle and heads to Mexico in the Championship lead, he may well rue having to open the road on the first day.
Quite a dilemma. Nice one, in a sense.

Didnt Mikkelsen also drive to the wall on the first stage in Greece. Yes he got a bit lucky but in my opinion you dont win a Championship with only luck.

Even with that wall crash, two engine failures from the lead is a bit much.

Lindholm was also lucky with Suninen being disqualified in Finland.

Craig Breen has checked into the regroup one-minute late, resulting in a 10 second penalty. This drops the Irishman to third overall, promoting team-mate Thierry Neuville up to second.

With Breen only contesting a part-programme this season, there's a potential this could be a deliberate move to help full-time driver Neuville net more drivers' championship points - although Hyundai has not confirmed this.
