Loeb has retired after 2012, that was 10 years ago.
The reason is sordo just doesn't have the speed of a tier one driver. Never had. He can be close sometimes and he's incredibly reliable, so he's a very good second driver. But he just doesn't seem to take the risks needed to be at the very top.
2010 was the last season Sordo drove a full season in a competitive car.
After 2014 Sordo has driven what, one full season.
Two wins and 20ish podiums for a support driver is not bad when you hired mainly to bring factory points. .
