He, he.....Definitely your 2000 km WIZZ flight from Liverpool to Cluj would take less time than my 500 km journey by train from Book-a-Rest to Cluj (been there last month - 9h15' ). ).

 Back to the game: CFR
P.S. 2 options again depending on what's on your mind: railways or football.

 Railways
LPL - CLJ by train is around 40 hours and the ticket for the bit from Liverpool to London costs more than the Wizzair flight. If I ever go to Transylvania, I'm flying!

 Football
 0 - 0 away in the first leg isn't a bad result!

A standard class open return ticket (out & back on any train) with Avanti from Manchester to London is £369.40 for the 315 km (2h 10m) journey. You can do it for £150 if you book in advance for specific off-peak trains, but you can't change the train you're booked on for a different one. There are other operators that are cheaper but you're looking at 4+ hours & two trains each way. Liverpool to London has the same operators and roughly the same prices.

 Hobson's
(Hobson's choice is a peculiar English expression - you may need to Google it to find the meaning, if you haven't heard it before)

( Hobson's choice- he doesn't allow you to pick up stuff, you'll buy only what he puts in your bag - usually a lot of rotten stuff )

I always find it amazing how often the driver behind has "so much more pace" until given a chance to prove it. I do think the team first told him he was free to pass, but then later ordered the...
