If Mercedes had change tires either of those times they would have ceded track position. They had no way of knowing Masi was going to have a brain fart. I don't get peoples POV when they say Mercedes should have pitted. In hindsight, their strategists absolutely made the right call given the information they had at the time. The only unknown variable for which they could not account was a clown in over his head.

I agree Mercedes should have taken it further, mainly because I doubt anything will change now. We'll see what comes of the probe.

I feel sorry for Max in a way. He's a great driver and his title is tainted because he should not be champion right now. He deserves better than that, Hamilton deserves better than that and so do the fans.
