Sorry if it has been discussed here before but why did they remove paddle shifting? Was it because cost saving? Or they wanted to make driving more difficult?

It doesn't help that current rally cars are the fundamentally wrong cars for rallying now (in my oppinion). We should be driving super cars and/or jeeps, since with them you at least have a...
