not nice, 5k for such speeding is like a gift..
Car no. 8 was driven at excessive speed on a public road on the evening of
Wednesday, 29 September 2021. The FIA Safety Tracking device recorded a
maximum speed of 101 km/h in a zone where the speed limit is 40 km/h.

Was this in connection with some test or why they were driving around in the racecar?
Anyway he is extremely lucky to only get a fine like this. The Finnish police specifically warned about speeding outside of stages beforehand.
The Finnish guys might add what fee he would get if he was stopped by police themselves. I believe at some point the fees in Finland were based on salary.

Tänak was supposedly setting up the light pods. It was reported that none of the Hyundai drivers tested in the dark during PET, while all Toyota drivers did so.

On our way driving through SS3/5 we caught that place. The truck was still there. It was clearly wisible from truck damages, damaged tree and traces on the road that truck took the completely wrong line. Right line for rally driver if SS were on oposite direction but completely wrong for usual daily driving. And the truck had Lithuanian number plates (just a fact).

If there's something to laugh at then it's the fact that while Toyota used test days on a closed road to set up light pods (among other things) the professionals at Hyundai used an open public road and drove crazy high over the speed limit.
If there actually was police it might have ended with him not entering the rally.
Don't think you'd laugh then.
