They are doing 89 km of stages today. In some rally you could do almost that amount in one leg, before the day service. So it doesn't make much of a difference.

If you look at the layout of the rally on map, the service is in Lamia, start in Athens and today's morning stages near Corinth. It would take a long liaison to drive to Lamia for service. The other option of course would be to use only stages near Lamia, but to me this is more interesting.
