I feel like there is a general trend these days to make things slightly less streamlined, having somewhat more uniqueness etc. I really hope that WRC gets some properly good PR from this, and that they are able to use it wisely.

But taka has had a decent pace all weekend, and for the team's points it would make no difference. If it's Jari's call I can see him letting taka keep second for his first podium.

I can’t see that, Jari will want ‘for sure’ titles on his debut year as team boss. Letting Ogier by to second and have Taka be third, and still on the podium is not a difficult decision to make.
