On such a tough event wouldnt it be worth carrying a few more spare parts, like a danper which is likely to break ?

They are sure as hell doing that but we dont know which parts.

I guess at the moment the schedule is impacted by red flagged SS3.

Either ss4 is also red flagged or Solberg is indeed nursing a problem.

He's maybe 1/5th into the stage and is 10 minutes since start and the others were around 12 minutes.

Admittedly the GPS dots aren't always 100 percent correct.
