I've got no idea why people give Gus Greensmith so much crap.....actually i do, jealousy. He's setting some fast times at the highest level of Rallying. Yes we can all say well, "daddy paid for it", but the reality is that you need money for motorsport. I hope all the bitter people get over it soon, because he does have a future in the WRC.....far better than the much loved guys or the mid-2000s like Henning Solberg.

Did anyone catch what Gryazin was saying about the Kremlin at an earlier end of stage interview?

Last two rallies Greensmith has been good. All those rallies before...not really.

Sure some people react when he drives as "main" MSport driver while (multiple) rally winners like Meeke, Latvala or Paddon end without a drive.

He is nowhere near Henning Solberg (yet?) though. Henning Solberg has 6 WRC podiums and 33 stage wins! Greensmith has 0 of both.

    Said after day 1:
    Greensmith Gus - Patterson Chris

"I think as soon as Chris [Patterson] came into the car, he showed me the areas I needed to change. We have worked really hard and the progression has been a lot quicker than I expected it to be. I've enjoyed, but it's a shame about the puncture."

Sometimes I think it is strange that a works team let young drivers keep their "Highschool sweetheart" co-driver.
When Petter came to MSport his norwegian co-driver was kicked out and an experienced father figure came in. It is so much else than reading notes at the rallies. Amongst other the drivers need to hear where they are lacking skills, and get a push. That is easier to tacle from someone you know have more experience, and you respect than a friend your own age!

phewwww, what a day. only a one stage caused a lot of action but still.

Sordo even had a puncture on liason coming to Lousada stage, how unlucky you can be.

Nice ending of the day for Tänak, despite some problems and wrong setup still has the lead.

Ogier again showing his amazing skills when to push and when not.

Really surprised with Taka and Greensmith, really good showing today from them.

sorry for his fans if i offend them but Loubet has to go back to WRC2 IMO.

Amazing fights also in WRC2 class and also very close gaps.

    Bring on tomorrow mega day.

Agree, question is if they need to switch them permanently or if a few rallies are enough.
