They can change, add or remove tyres at service, so yes. Rules only limit total number of available tyres so if they have any left, they can take an extra. Extra weight for PS vs added safety is a concern though.

6 tyres is max, They have now room to add any more.

And by regs, they can carry maximum of two spares. So even if they had room, they cannot take seventh. And they also have take minimum of one, too.
