I wouldn't go as far as murder, but putting them in the stocks and throwing rotten fruit at them would certainly be quite justified.

The cost of the box is only one issue, and its almost irrelevant. The real problem is the airplane that receives the transmitted on-board signal from the cars. There was an article a little while ago explaining it but I cant find it. What I remember is, It can only receive from the cars that are within a certain distance of it and it usually flies a racetrack pattern over the stage, shifting from start to finish depending on who the director wants to follow. If you wanted to have reliable on-boards from the 0 car which is usually a long distance away, and on-boards from the competing cars at the same time, you would need to have to have a second plane flying. Of course there are other ways to send an on-board signal like 4g, but it's not an option in Monte and also not an option in a lot of other rallys.
Edit: Here's the article I was thinking of: https://www.roadandtrack.com/motorsp...nd-the-scenes/
It's a 10km radius the plane can receive from.Last edited by OHL; 24th January 2020 at 06:17.
