Absolutely. But Loeb is like 50 and his co-driver weighs like 200 pounds. A decline is pound to happen at some point.
And Mikkelsen is Mikkelsen. Ogier is the reigning world champion, was the reigning winner in Corsica and was the 2nd fastest driver last year in Germany.
Also, Mikkelsen does not have much excuses, Neuville and Sordo showing great pace with Hyundai on asphalt.
Both Citröen drivers struggling mightily and showing utter frustration towards the car.

I'm afraid that Kankkunen doesn't take one fact into account. Back in the 80s there was a great enthusiasm for cars, they were considered cool, and manufacturers were joining motorsport willingly....
WRC mainclass from 2027
