They write on ewrc that many crews had punctures on Panzerplatte stages already during the recce. The stages are said to be rougher than usually and we can expect a lot of punctures on them.

it seems Mikkelsen has been also on the grass like Meeke, both with slow times.

Mikkelsen seems to be same place as last year here and same place as Loeb on Corsica. One of the last WRCs.

Which brings me to an alternative theory why Loeb is not starting. They did not manage to find or do changes that would make the car better to drive for them, so Loeb is waiting with his last start and Sordo runs as safe choice. Just like in Corsica except the other way around with Mikkelsen and Loeb.
