Apparently he got a better deal; maybe MSport asked him money for the R5 Germany drive (they’re always looking for it) and later his partners found it’d make more sense to invest on a new WRC outing. Neuville just won a German ADAC TCR race heat, a TCR touring car race in Germany.

Ogier is lucky that Tänak made the worst decision of all time in WRC when he left Toyota and joined Hyundai. This gave him opportunity at first place to join Toyota and collect more titles.
WRC mainclass from 2027
