I don't know how it was measured, whether it was overall or just on a single stage, but I overheard some talk that this weekend was the closest that R2s have ever been to the pace of the WRC cars. A quick look makes me think it could be in the overall result?

For sure not. I made a very quick check (only Rally Finland) and they were closer two or three times in the overall time difference (that depends on the route length) and even more times in difference in seconds per kilometer. The difference was smallest in the first year of 1.6T cars in 2011 (logically) and massively smaller than this weekend.

Four years after our last visit and had one of the best rallies ever. Great event. We did 4 stages on Friday, 4 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday.
So, so fast everywhere, really amazing. Joost couldn't make it, but already promised to try and come next year haha.

A bit late, but huge congrats to Tanak/Jarveoja and Toyota for the win and hat off for Breen/Nagle; I didn't imagine Breen would be able to be so fast and consistent on his first outing with the i20. Well done!
