A little gem from the history. Unfortunately the commentary is only in Czech but I would say it's very interesting anyway. It's a documentary about the development testing of Škoda Motorsport during 1994, the testing of new Proflex dampers, new air intake and other changes before the Rally Acropolis (plus some asphalt stuff at the beginning). This work on the legendary ultra-light Favorit 136 L/A ultimately lead to an F2 WRC title in the same year.

From today's point of view it looks sometimes funny (the obvious low budget conditions), sometimes crazy (testing on gravel without helmets). Nevertheless there is a lot of very spectacular and often purely flamboyant driving from Pavel Sibera, Emil Triner and Vladimír Berger. In that time this super light car (750 kg) used to be often more spectacular to watch than large 4WD gr.A cars.

i have watched them several years at Acropolis,and they were brilliant to watch.
Sibera and Triner had a big percentage at this success,very good drivers.
Unbelievable passes from this tiny cars.

I remember eagerly waiting for the rally results to update on teletext and being a proud Skoda fan when these 1.3 litre two wheel drive cars used to make it into the top ten of WRC events.

I once read they cost about £15,000. How times have changed.
