I think they want to keep him as a "guest driver" for more testing days.
Sure that's good for Hyundai but not good for Hutunen at all. He doesn't get to drive a WRC rally and is "stuck" in the bad R5. Though he did some rallies in other cars earlier this year, but then I guess he has to pay it himself.
He's also never going to be anybody's employee unless it's conveniently what he wants to do, something which he could do now anyway without being anybody's employee. If you know what I mean.
Have to say I'm getting pretty tired of this 'FIA fucked up with regs' rhetoric, especially when written with a Plan F that could be implemented. Rally1 regs were approved and made public December...
