    For tech guys, at 10:40 on Saturday highlights Evans is using Inmarsat IsatPhone 2 (https://www.inmarsat.com/isatphone/) to call the team after crashing.

    Didn't look like Tanak had any satphone with him?

    Apparently Ford does not have radios this year. Toyota does.

    I guess it's to save money, as the radios run through the plane.

    Well satphones work even when the plane(relay) is not up and also when the car does not have power. So at this point MSport approach was better, as Tanak seemingly wasn't able to talk with the team after the crash. EDIT: car stopped.

    I guess mostly they just use cellphones for this, but not much coverage up the hill in argentina.
