ICYMI
Unfortunately due to electronic issues, we won’t see the Proton Iriz R5 of Eugene Donnelly in action in Ireland this weekend.

According their press release: "Besides updated looks with headlights matching the street version of the model, the new rally car has also gained a number of important technical innovations. Among them, an updated 1.6-litre turbocharged engine now offers more power and a better torque curve. All the modifications are aimed at improving the performance and reliability of the car."

Does anybody else find it somewhat odd that we've seen so little of the new Fiesta testing, given that it's been widely said that it's due to be homologated in time for Rally Finland, which is only three months away? Basically just one unclear grainy/dusty video. I feel like we'd see much more of the Polo and even facelifted Fabia earlier than we've seen almost anything of the new Fiesta...

No Moaning Mads here !
Morning loop @rallyargentina done. We're happy to lead the #WRC2PRO category, and we're also the fastest #R5. We're enjoying it so far.

After Rajd Swidnicki somebody stole Fiesta R5 of Jaroslaw Koltun. It's chassis No. 77, registration plate TK 8955L.
It appears that around midnight somebody came with an old Opel Vectra C and stole the trailer with the car inside (possibly not even knowing about it). More info in Polish is here: https://www.facebook.com/WRCNewsOffi...type=3&theater

According to the following article at

the official team of Volkswagen Motorsport is going to enter VW Polo R5 in Sachsen Rallye. The car will be driven by 52-year-old Dieter Depping. Another two (private) Polos will be driven by Dennis Rostek and Christian Riedemann. Sachsen Rallye is going to be held on May 24-25.http://www.rallymadness.prv.pl - rally photos and movies!

The difference is crazy. When the Hyundai is off pace, its not like, 0.1 sec a kilometer, its a second / seconds a kilometer
