It’s his second test already. Tested 3 days last time. He will be testing for Monte for sure and maybe even for Sweden already his year.
What I want to say is usually the drivers don’t get their hands on other car until December, I think ogier only had 4 days with the fiesta before Monte in 2017.Last edited by EstWRC; 6th November 2018 at 11:45.

They have a hurry to test on gravel before the snow falls. Well it already did but went away...

Normally he already had a test last week on wednesday but they cancelled that one due to the snow.

Do they need to maintain these types of gravel roads, where seemingly, the surface gets destroyed to a great extent and the tires dig deep down? Of course not after a test but a stage, which is run twice on an event and has 50/60 rally cars.

The surface has to be repaired indeed. The wetter it gets, the more the roads get destroyed. That's also why Wales Rally GB has such huge repair costs (a few years ago it's continuation was in danger because of that). I think even after a proper test with one WRC car, some repairs need to be done.

Of course, and this is also a "reward" for a private road owner to allow testing or rallying, often the road is in better shape after repairs than it was before rally cars, and all for free.

The way I see it is: could Prodrive tune/race cars other than Subaru? Yes. M-Sport other than Ford? Yes. MSD other than Hyundai? Yes (I don't know if they did). But could Ralliart tune/race cars...
