Hi guys, does anyone think Clocaenog Ss2 for the first 15-20 cars is doable, plus slate mountain? I know it's a risk no matter what, just wanted to know hpw big a risk or if it's too unlikely to make the top guys at slate mountain at 10.40

Technically possible but hard to tell how busy it could be with it being a completely new stage - are they using shuttle buses at Slate Mountain to take people up from the car park to the stage? Just thinking that if you have to wait for a bus to arrive, or fill up, then that might reduce your chances of making it in time - though I guess you could always hike up the same route that the buses are taking.

Expecting Neuville to have a slight advance on the muddy roads, especially if it starts raining tomorrow or Friday morning. The road should get more slippery with every car. Neuville had good pace last year so I think he has all the best chances to win, if only his head is strong enough. Ogier will struggle with slippier road and the Fiesta which may lag a bit behind the other cars. The Toyotas seemed to have problems last year with the aeros collecting mud and making the car heavy, as well as with turning in -problems. Let's see if they have overcome those problems. I could see Latvala and Mikkelsen end with good positions in addition to the obvious Tänak. Of course the long Saturday could change everything with the road order being reversed and the stages probably even muddier with more rain forecasted. Last year it was rather drama-free with only Breen and Hänninen having offs and the night stages shuffling the top six. How will it turn out this year? The route is also a bit different this year, more about the narrow North Wales stages than the faster and flowing Mid Wales ones and the tarmac bits there as well. It will be an interesting rally for sure.

Yeah it's whether the shuttle buses are the only route up. If we get there say 10/10.15, then the shuttle buses might be halted as it seems there's only 3 designated spectator points at the stage, and the buses use the same single track up the mountain. We'll probably make a decision on Friday morning whether we risk it or not

There could be some morning and evening showers on Clocaenog and Brenig tomorrow. Penmachno could have some rain already today and more rain tomorrow morning and yet more in the evening.

It seems it starts raining Friday afternoon and will continue overnight. The rain should stop at Saturday noon, but it's too early to look that far into the rally.Last edited by AnttiL; 4th October 2018 at 06:37.

When I go to WRC event, I want to see the best drivers as always. If I want to see some national drivers, I can go to some other less popular event.. Just simple.
