    If Tänak somehow wins the power stage from first on the road then it would be like a win but with just 20 points less

    Hopefully he will get some points, Neuville will push for sure and ogier is also pushing no matter what he says.

    Now that Jari finally gets a stage win, who left out of the manufacturer drivers hasn't won a stage yet this year?

    Pretty sure he is not going to start 1st, he can take up to 40 minutes penalty...

    Isn't it limited to 30 mins? Ogier started this mess in Sweden, let's see who will follow same tactics now in Mexico or later on in the season.

    FIA should have tweaked the rules as a can of worms has been opened after Sweden.

    However the power stage will be pretty clean after the first pass, so it won't be anywhere near as bad as Sweden was. I won't be too surprised if a guy near the front wins it by risking everything as they have nothing to lose

    If the Power Stage is a designed for TV spectacle (which it is) then they simply can't continue to let this continue if the stage winner comes in after they've gone off air. Rules aside, it renders it pointless as broadcast entertainment.

    That said I'm really intrigued to see what happens and who checks in when...
