Self criticism is dangerous. It's good they are trying to be objective with themselves and improve but it's possible to fall into a trap where the constant criticism prevents you from getting the confidence to keep everything together. If you look at the champions they all have some kind of expression related to confidence, be it aloofness, relaxation, arrogance or a sense of self entitlement.

Lappi, Paddon and Latvala are the three most self critical drivers in the championship, IMO, and all of them have been/are incredibly quick. Lappi still has time to prove he's consistently quick but it's pretty clear it hasn't paid off neither for Latvala nor Paddon, sadly, at least not yet.

Maybe, but he's rather cold. He'll auto critique when he makes mistakes, while the others always have something to improve according to their flustered faces.

how? He has been helping to develop the car since the beginning and i think he is the first one to tell the differences. He was in spain at the mexico test too.
