I think its pretty tough to judge too much by Monte Carlo, there is just too much random circumstance.
Anyone could have been off and out on the first night on that ice, really just good fortune who got away with the least time loss.
Its clear the Ford is still pretty benign, so too the Hyundai and Toyota. The Citroen still looks a right handful when the traction is low. So far Meeke has been smart and we didn't say that much last year.
