FIA rally director it’s certainly an influential post, but it’s not up to him to decide rallysport future; he’s mainly a general supervisor. The important stuff (new rules, calendars, etc) are decided on the WRC Commission (were manus, organizers and the promoter have seats) or on the Rally Commission. Anyway, Matton has the experience to make a proper job; best luck to him.
I always thought they would pick Armstrong or Creighton over McErlean, but they choose him first. Also don't know how M-Sport did so wrong after how many years of experience in WRC, 20-30? And yet...
