I don't think it matters at this point. Meeke has shown many times he can be faster than anyone, consistency is the problem. Being fastest after crashing doesn't help. If he managed say 4th place and stay on the road Matton would imo be more happy than crash and then winning every single stage.
Still, if Meeke manage to finish with less than 10 mins from Mikkelsen, that will make huge difference in current situation.
