Rally Wrc Monte Carlo 2017

This was my 19th Rallye Monte Carlo, and what to say, for sure has been one of the best i have seen ever!

Hard to make a direct comparison in MC from year to year, but just had a quick look at 16' vs 17' car up to the top of Col De Turini.
First run both years with pretty similar conditions with Lefebvre and Mikkelsen who were fastest, Lefebvre is 20 sec faster to the top.

That's 15km which means the 17' car is 1.3 sec faster pr/km in uphill if i didn't calculate that wrong?

End time is 13.51 for Lefebvre in the C3 and 14:09 for Mikkelsen in the Polo over 21.36km which is 0.84 sec pr/km

if I remember right Lefebvre was on slicks,do you know at what tyres was Mikkesen at 2016?

You're right for the tyres, but anyway is this comparison for wrc cars, or R5 vs WRC cars?

Super soft on Mikkelsen in 2016

WRC of course.

Looking at Mikkelsen's time this year in the R5 he did a 14.17 against 14:09 in the Polo, so maybe it was quite a bit better conditions this year.

Ah, I see You compare Mikkelsen in 2016. Well yeah, Lefebvre was on Soft tyres this run, which explains his fast time.

14,38 faster r5 time at 2016 (Lappi) so seems much better conditions this year.Lets wait fornext rallies to have a better view.

So Evans Neuville and Breen didn't lift at all.All the others lifted and some lifted and braked. These are the videos I like,to compare passes at near limiter.

hard to see with that stupid smoke, but i think breen braked a little with his left foot, while neuville and evans didn't touched the brake pedal.
